A special Expert Committee Meeting was held last week in the framework of Re-Imagine Europa’s Task Force on Sustainable Agriculture and Innovation. The event focused on the different approaches taken by non-EU countries in regulating genome editing.

Professor Jennifer Doudna, President of the Innovative Genomics Institute and 2020 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, delivered an exciting presentation on the potential of the CRISPR-Cas9 technique in agriculture.
