Established in 1874, the Conférence Olivaint is the oldest, and one of the most prestigious French student societies. Named after Father Pierre Olivaint, a French priest martyred during the Paris Commune, the Conference was founded by the Jesuits. Its main activity is organising weekly conferences with important personalities from the French political world and, since 2003 for the civil society.
